The MTS FlexTemp™ TC8 is an 8-channel external temperature measurement module that connects plug-and-play with FlexTest® controllers. It supports eight thermocouple types (J, K, T, E, N, B, R, and S) and integrates directly into MTS Series 793 Station Manager with a single channel setup — making live temperature values available across MTS test software including MTS TestSuite™ and MPT™.

Features
Synchronized temperature data. Temperature is recorded in real time alongside all other test data. No post-test merging, no manual reconciliation, no risk of data loss.
Plug-and-play integration. FlexTemp TC8 is built to work with your FlexTest controller right out of the box — consistent with the architecture you already know.
Universal thermocouple compatibility. One hardware solution works with a wide variety of thermocouple types. No reconfiguration required when your measurement needs change.
External module with digital communication. FlexTemp TC8 lives outside the FlexTest controller as a standalone device, connecting via a single cable. That means your controller slots stay free for other test signals — and temperature channels can be expanded by adding modules without touching your controller configuration.
Temperature-based test monitoring. Temperature signals are available directly in your MTS Series 793 Station Manager, enabling event-driven decisions during live tests. This is a capability many customers don’t have today.
Flexible, compact mounting. Small footprint, compatible with standard MTS equipment. Optional magnetic mounting makes it easy to attach directly to a test frame or tabletop — no tools, no permanent installation.
Note: Empty cells indicate temperature columns that fall outside the operating range of that thermocouple type. Cold junction sensor accuracy is ±0.5°C.
