Centro Tecnológico de Automoción de Galicia (CTAG) employs advanced MTS battery testing technology in its state-of-the-art Electric Vehicle Lab.
Located in Galicia, Spain, the CTAG Electric Vehicle Lab features a variety of test benches for evaluating EV chassis, powertrains and battery packs, performing R&D projects and providing testing services to the mobility industry. The lab's integrated battery vibration test cell combines an MTS Multi-Axial Simulation Table (MAST) with an array of battery management, environmental simulation, communications, and safety systems to test the performance, reliability, and safety of active batteries through the simultaneous application of real-world mechanical, electrical, and thermal stresses.
A six-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) MAST system, RPC® Connect software, FlexTest® controller, and SilentFlo™ Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) provide a robust and reliable mechanical testing foundation for the integrated EV battery vibration test cell, enabling CTAG's customers to conduct a comprehensive range of lithium-ion battery testing with optimal integrity, safety, and efficiency.

6DOF 353.20 MAST Systems are designed for testing payloads up to 1000 kg on 2 meter round or 2.2 meter square tables at up to 200 Hz, and are well-suited for environmental and anechoic chamber integration.
Industry-renowned RPC Connect Software is used to achieve the battery testing vibration profiles specified in the ISO 12405 standard. Shown right, a Power Spectral Density (PSD) test covering random gaussian vibrations up to 200 Hz.
