This course provides a practical introduction to MTS Systems software and hardware. Through instructor-led presentations, demonstrations, simulations, and hands-on lab exercises, participants gain experience with 793 Station Manager and MultiPurpose TestWare™ (MPT), including test setup, execution, monitoring, and data acquisition.

The course covers testing fundamentals and standard workflows before advancing to hardware integration, system configuration, method development, limit and event logic, and complex test sequencing in MultiPurpose TestWare (MPT). By the end of the course, participants will be prepared to apply these concepts and tools within their own MTS testing environments.

  • System hardware configuration, operation, and sensor assignment
  • Hydraulic and controller hardware
  • Specimen setup, control tuning, and limits              
  • Station software setup
  • 793 Station Manager and MultiPurpose TestWare (MPT) fundamentals
  • Test creation including monotonic and cyclic tests
  • Test Command and Data acquisition with MultiPurpose TestWare (MPT)
  • Test logic and sequencing

** This course replaces the MTS Series 793 Software with MultiPurpose TestWare (MPT) Test Design course and has been enhanced to include foundational hardware training alongside updated software content, providing a more complete learning experience.

CANCELLATION POLICY

MTS reserves the right to cancel a class if there is not sufficient registration four weeks prior to the start date of the class. MTS will not reimburse any prearranged travel-related expenses if a class is cancelled. If you cannot attend the course after you have registered, you must cancel your registration at least one week prior to the start of the course. Persons who do not attend a course and who do not cancel their reservations will be assessed a non-notification of cancellation fee.
