MTS Advantage™ Video Extensometer
MTS Advantage™ Video Extensometer (AVX)The MTS Advantage™ Video Extensometer (AVX) delivers key benefits for advanced R&D including testing of unique, rare, or expensive material specimens.
Employing an innovative point-to-point measurement technique, AVX provides a high level of precision in the calculation of specimen strain and modulus. The system features a high-resolution video camera, application software to measure data and MTS TestSuite™ TW Software.
With a unique speckle paint pattern used on the specimen, up to 100 points can be measured simultaneously in real time and recorded. In select configurations, the video can be saved as a record of the test. This recorded video provides the ability to run the test “virtually” with changes to the original parameters without consuming more specimens.
The AVX is more versatile than contacting extensometers, capable of performing multiple axial, axial-transverse orthogonal, rotational and dual-average measurements. The MTS AVX is available in four configurations that address specific needs for rubbers/plastics, metals, composites, and research and development.
