The Swedish Board for Accreditation and Conformity Assessment, SWEDAC,
has awarded MTS Systems Norden AB with an accreditation to perform field
calibration of load and strain. This accreditation certifies that the
laboratory has been assessed and found to fulfill the requirements of the
SS-EN 45001 and ISO Guide 25.
SWEDAC is a member of EA, the European co-operation for Accreditation.
EA is a merger of EAC (European Accreditation of Certification) and EAL
(European co-operation for Accreditation of Laboratories). EA is the
guarantee for international conformity and equivalence of accreditation.
ISO 9000 demands that measuring tools used for assessment of the
property of a product have to be calibrated. Swedish industry has the
ability to make traceable measurements by having the measuring references
calibrated by accredited calibration laboratories under surveillance of
SWEDAC. Traceable calibrations are a cornerstone of an accredited
calibration laboratory.
SWEDAC performs a yearly audit of the accredited calibration
laboratory. The scope of the audit is, among other things, staff,
equipment, quality system, methods and calibration certificates.
