Model 320 Tire-Coupled Road Simulators
Repeatable road simulation for a range of vehicle sizes and applications
To create vehicle responses nearly identical to those generated by real road surfaces, Model 320 Tire-Coupled Road Simulators apply vertical forces through the tire of a vehicle.
These systems simulate a diverse number of road conditions, from small road surface vibrations to high-velocity pothole strikes. This capability allows engineers to conduct meaningful tests in the lab long before road load data become available, which significantly increases structural testing repeatability and efficiency while greatly reducing cycle times.
The flexible Model 320 system can accommodate vehicles of almost any size, from motorcycles and other small vehicles to passenger cars and light trucks to commercial vehicles and heavy industrial equipment. It is also versatile enough to support multiple testing applications, including structural durability, ride comfort, buzz, squeak and rattle, end-of-line production quality, racing vehicle development and more.
