Highly accurate MTS force transducers (load cells) deliver high stiffness, stability and linearity for the full range of both static and dynamic testing applications. They are constructed from aircraft-quality military specification materials, which are heat-treated to ensure uniform hardness and minimize distortion.

Available in axial, axial-torsional, and other configurations, MTS fatigue-rated force transducers for servohydraulic systems reduce errors caused by extraneous side loads or loading changes caused by geometry shifts in the specimen. A monolithic design incorporates high axial stiffness.

MTS electromechanical force transducers provide overload and side load protection, and are designed with built-in shunt resistors to facilitate regular verification of accuracy using calibration routines in MTS software. To increase efficiency and reduce potential operator error, many of these load cells feature TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheets) self-identification capabilities following the IEEE 1451.4 standard.
