Automotive Durability Testing

Durability testing is a testing methodology applied to vehicles, subsystems and components to determine expected life. With these tests, real-world forces and motions are applied to a test specimen in a manner that replicates in- service conditions. Durability tests are required to assess and validate product design targets. Such testing helps to increase repeatability and reduce risk by providing critical information earlier in the product development cycle.
