Component Fatigue Testing
Fatigue testing is critical for establishing the ultimate strength and reliability of implantable orthopaedic devices for large and small joints, dental implants and materials, trauma components and surgical tools. Fatigue testing involves precise control of axial or multiaxial load and displacement schemes designed to meet appropriate ASTM and ISO criteria, as well as FDA guidelines.
MTS delivers compact, high-quality test systems that are specifically designed for evaluating biomechanical constructs, whether you are performing fatigue certification, conducting implantable device studies or studying devices where material and structural properties of the device (or device-tissue interface) must be known. Important features and capabilities for this application include:
• Compact test systems that fit conveniently on the laboratory bench
• Accurate measurement and control of static and dynamic tests for fatigue cycles
