Fastener Testing
Fastener testing focuses on characterizing rivets, high-locks, bolts, specially built fasteners and (for composite structures) bonded joints. These critical quality control tests are performed to ensure the conformity of each fastener to its specification. Tests typically involve tensile and shear load schemes in which the specimen is tested to failure.
MTS has worked side-by-side with leading aerospace engineers for more than four decades. We offer extensive experience and expertise in all aspects of fastener testing, including component and materials testing. We also provide all the technology labs require to conduct these tests accurately, repeatably and cost-efficiently. Specific offerings related to fastener testing include:
