MTS Advantage™ Video Extensometer (AVX) with Magnetic-return Support Arm
Introducing New MTS Advantage™ Video Extensometer (AVX) with Magnetic-return Support ArmA non-contact extensometer is the preferred measurement device for materials that are fragile, brittle, irregularly shaped or prone to high-energy failure. Non-contact extensometers are also an ideal option for measuring specimen in high-temperature or submerged environments.
The new MTS Advantage Video Extensometer delivers the flexibility, accuracy and repeatability needed in applications where it is difficult to measure strain using conventional means. This extensometer combines several features that make it an outstanding choice to measure strain, rotation and displacement of plastics, metals, composites and high-elongation materials.
Precise & Repeatable Measurement
The magnetic-return support arm allows you to move the extensometer aside to access the specimen area and then return it to the exact same position again to resume measurement. When wanting to change the position of the extensometer, this arm can be placed in hundreds of positions over three axes.
Sixteen quick-attach measurement heads support a wide array of gage lengths and strain ranges. They can be moved forward and backward and are easy to interchange, providing multiple measurement options.
With pass/fail calibration verification blocks and a software calibration wizard that allows you to confirm setup to your desired ASTM E83 or ISO 9513 class, this extensometer delivers accurate results.
Easy Installation and Positioning
The new AVX mounts on the left, right, front or back of a load frame, and the height can be easily adjusted manually or with a power drill.
