Dr. Erik Schwarzkopf, MTS R&D Engineer, recounts his work with Dr. Stuart Holdsworth, Group Head of the High Temperature Integrity Group at Empa, a Swiss federal research institute near Zurich. Their task was to develop a service-cycle component-feature specimen TMF testing methodology for verifying the accuracy of service life analyses of components used in high-efficiency gas and steam turbines.
