While ZF Sachs Automotive of America was already running a highly efficient operation, the company’s lab management sought to further streamline damper testing at its main North American R&D facility in Northville, Michigan, as well as at other damper testing facilities around the world. Specifically, the company wanted its test results to be highly consistent across all these test labs, and it wanted to reduce unscheduled downtime to as close to zero as possible.
