New Applications in Simulation

Civil and seismic test engineers face increasingly challenging scenarios. Sophisticated control systems and higher PC processing speeds have enabled forces and motions to be exerted on test specimens in a complex manner. While the temptation is to evaluate larger test specimens in order to produce the most true-to-life test results possible, large test specimens are expensive to manage and procure. In addition, every test system and test facility can only accommodate test specimens of a certain size.

Hydraulic Distribution System Design Considerations

One of our customers recently asked us to solve an aggravating hydraulic distribution problem. After years of nearly trouble-free operation, an alarming trend of erratic pressure spikes began. These spikes were the result of multi-station cross-talk disturbances that led to cracked manifolds, failed servovalves and compromised test data.

STEX™ Pro Raises the Bar of Seismic Testing Software

STEX (Seismic Test Execution) Pro software is the ultimate tool for setting up and performing laboratory-based seismic qualification tests and earthquake simulations on large-scale civil structures, substructures and non-structural equipment and systems. It combines a host of innovative seismic simulation tools with an integrated suite of applications for achieving precise control of complex, multi-channel mechanical test systems.
