Knight Mechanical Testing Selects MTS for Biomedical Testing Systems

Eden Prairie, Minn. – March 27, 2007 – MTS Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: MTSC) today announced a contract with Knight Mechanical Testing to provide multiple servohydraulic testing systems for a broad array of biomedical testing applications. The systems, which include four Model 810 load frames, FlexTest® GT controls, and a SilentFloTM hydraulic power unit, will be deployed at Knight’s Fort Wayne, Indiana contract test lab to perform testing of implants, instruments, and other medical devices.

Knight Mechanical Testing is a state-of-the-art contract test lab that focuses on fatigue and static testing of implants, instruments, and other medical devices per ASTM and ISO standards. With extensive OEM laboratory experience, Knight’s full-service test staff has the knowledge and capability to meet a full spectrum of mechanical test requirements, and provide expert support for the design and fabrication of a broad range of specialty fixturing.
