MTS Systems develops advanced custom equipment for use in automotive wind tunnel testing.  Examples of this type of equiment include moving ground planes (MTS Flat-Trac® Rolling Roads) to correctly simulate aerodynamic conditions underneath automotive models used in wind tunnels, and precision model positioning systems for model positioning and precision force measurement. 

MTS wind tunnel equiment is used primarily in the auto racing industry and the passenger car industry.
