Orthopaedic Constructs

MTS Bionix® testing solutions are deployed worldwide to analyze the strength and fatigue properties of materials and bone cements; study spine, hip and knee kinematics; test new surgical techniques; and determine the wear properties of implants, fixation devices and mobility-retaining solutions.

Dynamic (Durability/Fatigue) Test Systems
Extremely versatile and compact, Bionix Tabletop Servohydraulic Test Systems are ideal for determining the mechanical properties of biomaterials and medical devices, performing kinematics studies of skeletal tissues and orthopaedic constructs and studying surgical techniques.

Spine, Hip & Knee Subsystems
Modular and scalable, Bionix Spine, Hip and Knee Subsystems are designed to facilitate a wide variety of orthopaedic kinematics studies.  In combination with Bionix Tabletop Servohydraulic Test Systems, FlexTest® controllers and MTS software, these subsystems comprise complete, out-of-the-box solutions for all your biomechanical research needs.

Multistation Wear Simulators
Bionix Multistation Wear Simulators perform long-term wear, fatigue and durability tests of implantable spine, hip and knee devices and related materials.  Precise and durable, they accurately replicate real world joint motions to generate the wear data required for pursuing device approval, production and continued development.

Bionix EM Torsion Test System
The Bionix EM Torsion Test System is a compact, easy-to-use system that accurately applies low-force monotonic and multi-cycle torsion, as well as an optional static axial load, to test specimens subject to torque loading in typical service environments.

Test Application Software
Our full complement of software applications will meet your biomedical testing requirements.  Use our MultiPurpose TestWare® software to easily perform advanced dynamic tests, both standard and non-standard.
