MTS introduces Landmark™ systems configured for damper and elastomer testing

MTS recently unveiled its new FlexTest® family of digital controllers, which sets a bold new standard for control system versatility and expandability.

The family includes four models of varying sizes and capacities, all of which share a common set of software, hardware boards and interface tools, and are easily reconfigured for a wide variety of test applications. The controllers can be used across all the industries MTS serves, and on most MTS test systems. This gives you utmost adaptability to meet your evolving testing needs, while keeping your test engineers at peak productivity on a standardized hardware platform that can be used for years.

The FlexTest introduction results from more than forty years of MTS controller development experience, and is an extension of the same leadership and innovation that have produced superior MTS control solutions for decades. In addition to utmost expandability, the controllers feature higher channel densities and capacities, greater configurability and more setup options than previous-generation models, along with Transducer Electronic Data Sheets (TEDS) support to help ensure the appropriate calibration information is used. An optional handset also allows for easy specimen installation and test initiation.

These four models currently comprise the third generation of FlexTest modular digital controls:

• FlexTest 200 — supports up to forty control channels and up to eight test stations
• FlexTest 100 — supports up to sixteen control channels and up to eight test stations
• FlexTest 60 — supports up to eight control channels and up to 4 test stations (or up to six test stations when using on/off HSMs)
• FlexTest 40 — supports up to four control channels on one test station

By upgrading your test lab to this next-generation controller platform, you’ll be equipped to do far more with fewer boxes for a longer period of time, helping to simplify user training, reduce product lifecycle costs and conserve valuable floor space.
